NYS Expands Child Care Fee Assistance for Military Families under MCCYN-PLUS

On September 25, the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood-PLUS (MCCYN-PLUS) program launched in New York State to increase the availability of child care options for the state’s military families. MCCYN-PLUS extends eligibility for the federal military child care fee assistance program to all licensed/registered child care programs in New York State.

Governor Hochul Announces Awardees of RFA 1 Child Care Deserts Grant

Governor Hochul has announced that nearly $70 million in grant funding has been awarded to newly licensed or permitted early childhood programs in New York’s child care deserts. The funds, made available through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, are administered under the Office of Children and Family Services.
