Governor Hochul Visits QUALITYstarsNY Participant CEO Community Resource Center in Troy

On January 15, Governor Kathy Hochul visited the Commission for Economic Opportunity’s (CEO) Community Resource Center, a Head Start program and QUALITYstarsNY participant located in Troy, New York. During her visit, Governor Hochul spent time with educators and children in the center’s classrooms and hosted a press conference regarding expanded state policies related to early childhood education.

NYS Expands Child Care Fee Assistance for Military Families under MCCYN-PLUS

On September 25, the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood-PLUS (MCCYN-PLUS) program launched in New York State to increase the availability of child care options for the state’s military families. MCCYN-PLUS extends eligibility for the federal military child care fee assistance program to all licensed/registered child care programs in New York State.
