Director of Program Operations

The Director of Program Operations will have expertise in strengthening systems to support a dynamic team of remote and onsite staff. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role will ensure the QUALITYstarsNY team has the resources, standard operating procedures, and support they need to consistently deliver on its mission by supporting program operations, contracts and purchasing, and talent acquisition efforts.

Regional Quality Improvement Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality Improvement, the Regional Quality Improvement Coordinator (QIC), will work closely with the central office staff to implement the continuous quality improvement cycle of QUALITYstarsNY throughout New York State. The QIC will supervise a team of Quality Improvement Specialists serving specific regions across the state, who are responsible for creating and managing each program’s Quality Improvement Plan and its supports, including funding allocations. The goal of this position is to effectively supervise and support the Quality Improvement Specialists with attention to monitoring Quality Improvement Plans. The QIC is responsible for building the capacity of QIS through leadership, professional development, and a range of other supports to ensure success in the role.

Project Assistant

The Project Assistant will perform day-to-day administrative tasks while working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Program Operations, the Project Assistant will carry out purchasing operations, including processing invoices and reimbursements, and will manage inventory and shipments for supplies, equipment, and promotional items.

Early Childhood Ratings Specialist

The Early Childhood Ratings Specialist is responsible for completing early childhood program ratings based on submitted documentation and third-party assessments; supervise the rating team; monitor ratings for consistency and accuracy, review appeals, implement inter-rater reliability systems, and monitor the Standards Inventory database system for consistency. Reporting to the Data Systems and Ratings Manager, the Ratings Specialist will lead the management of the rating process, including ongoing planning and communication with the QUALITYstarsNY central office team, to ensure that the ratings and the rating systems are accurate and consistent. The Ratings Specialist will act as a thought partner to the central office leadership team, using strong data analysis skills to maintain the integrity of the rating system.

Early Childhood Quality Improvement Specialist

The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist is responsible for providing key support in the implementation of QUALITYstarsNY. The QI Specialist is assigned a case load of participating programs to provide ongoing technical assistance and resources to as part of continuous quality improvement. The QI Specialist works in partnership with the leadership of participating programs to effectively use data to create and implement an individualized Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The QI Specialist supports programs to achieve the goals outlined in their QIP through a variety of strategies and holds programs accountable to meeting their goals. The QI Specialist is expected to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the program’s leadership and use a facilitative, consultation model to provide technical assistance and mentoring.
