Assistant Director of Quality Improvement
The Assistant Director of Quality Improvement will work closely with the project director and other project staff to implement the continuous quality improvement cycle of QUALITYstarsNY throughout New York State. The Assistant Director (AD) will supervise a team of Quality Improvement Specialists (QIS) across the state who are responsible for engaging participants in the quality improvement process. The AD is responsible for the allocation of quality improvement funds and scholarships to the QIS, including reconciliation of budgets and ongoing monitoring of project spending. The goal of this position is to effectively evaluate and improve the supports provided to participants including monitoring Quality Improvement Plans, Star-Ratings and quality rating scores in key areas. The AD is responsible for building the capacity of QIS through leadership, professional development, and a range of other supports to ensure success in the role.
Candidates for this position should be located in NYC, the Capital District, Long Island, or the Mid-Hudson region.
Early Childhood Quality Improvement Specialist (Brooklyn & Staten Island)
The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist is responsible for providing key support in the implementation of QUALITYstarsNY. The QI Specialist is assigned a case load of participating programs to provide ongoing technical assistance and resources to as part of continuous quality improvement. The QI Specialist works in partnership with the leadership of participating programs to effectively use data to create and implement an individualized Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The QI Specialist supports programs to achieve the goals outlined in their QIP through a variety of strategies and holds programs accountable to meeting their goals. The QI Specialist is expected to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the program’s leadership and use a facilitative, consultation model to provide technical assistance and mentoring.
