Thousands of early childhood leaders and educators across the state joined us in 2020 for our Considerations for Reopening Webinar Series. The multi-part series was developed to support New York’s early childhood programs with planning and policy and practice implementation so they could reopen their doors and safely serve children during the pandemic.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to our participants who contributed to our English and Spanish sessions to share as a guest speaker and/or provide pictures and examples of their program practices during COVID-19. At the time when we were hosting our Considerations for Reopening sessions, only 27 percent of our more than 800 participating programs were serving children on-site. Thanks to these volunteers, attendees walked away with actionable information grounded in real-life examples of how to safely operate and adopt quality practices while adhering to the new emergency health and safety requirements.
