The Innovation Team at the NYC Mayor’s Office is looking to interview child care providers/educators about their experience finding and using child care resources online and their experience supporting families through the child care search and application process.

They will use the information they gather to inform the development of improved child care resources online for families and providers. Interviews are conducted online via Zoom. The Innovation Team can work with you to find a time that works with your schedule. Interview participants will be compensated for their time with a $25 e-gift card sent directly to their email.

  • Format: 30-minute virtual interviews, according to participants’ preference and availability, including an issue prioritization exercise. There is also the possibility of bringing multiple individuals together, if interested, in a workshop format.

Goals of the Research:

  1. Prioritize the main challenges families face when trying to access child care
  2. Understand what support providers need to better assist families, including challenges in navigating the child care system and the application process for subsidies
  3. Gather feedback on what information and features would be most helpful for families and providers
