La pasión y el profesionalismo de los proveedores me impresionan cada día en mi trabajo. Hoy quiero expresar mi aprecio particular a los proveedores que hablan otros idiomas que no sean el inglés. Estos proveedores cuidan a los niños con el mismo amor, conocimiento, y empeño que los que solo hablan inglés, y lo hacen de manera culturalmente y lingüísticamente apropiada, construyendo una fundación fuerte en su primer idioma, o dándoles una ventaja en el desarrollo de un segundo o tercer idioma!
Every day I am impressed and humbled by the passion and professionalism of the child care providers and early childhood leaders I work with. Today, I would like to especially appreciate the family child care providers whose home language is not English. These providers care for children with the same love, knowledge, and hard work as all of their colleagues, and they do it in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, giving children a strong foundation in their first languages—or an early start on developing a second or third language!
