Susan began her career in early childhood education as a preschool teacher for a child care center in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from SUNY College at Buffalo with a Master of Science degree in special education, Susan served as an early intervention specialist, providing play & assistive technology services to children and families participating in the New York State Early Intervention Program. In addition to children and families, Susan has decades of experience working with center-based, family-based, school-age, and legally exempt child care providers, as well as Universal Pre-K programs. Much of her career was spent at a Child Care and Referral Agency (CCR&R) where she worked as a trainer, supervisor, director, leader and mentor. During her time at the CCR&R, Susan spearheaded the coordination of several state-wide initiatives for Erie County and the Western New York region, including the Infant Toddler Resource Network, Legally Exempt Child Care Enrollment, and Pyramid Model Implementation Hub.
In addition to her passion for supporting others to achieve their goals, Susan enjoys traveling, live music, and spoiling her cats!
