Simone Bokehi

Director of Program Operations

Simone brings more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and program operations to QUALITYstarsNY, along with a personal connection to its mission. As a child care director, she had both of her schools go through the QUALITYstarsNY rating process, an experience that gave her a deep appreciation for quality improvement and coaching and sparked her desire to one day join the team. Throughout her career, Simone has worked directly with child care programs, providers, and educators to strengthen operations and improve quality of services. Now, she’s excited to shift her focus to supporting the teams and systems that empower programs across New York State, drawing on her experience in program operations, compliance, professional development, and continuous quality improvement. For Simone, this role is a full-circle moment—returning to an organization that shaped her own leadership journey, now with the chance to give back.
