Shelley Benvenuti

Shelley Benvenuti has been working in early childhood in various capacities since 2007. Originally from California, Shelley received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Cruz. She then moved to New York City and received her Master of Science in the Art of Teaching from Sarah Lawrence College. She is certified in birth-sixth grade. Shelley has worked in various organizations such as a progressive non-profit preschool on the upper west side teaching children ages 2-5, has been a Pre-K for All teacher, a site director and an education director of community-based schools serving children ages birth-5 years old in Queens, New York. Shelley was formally trained in Emergent Curriculum and the Prospect Center’s Descriptive Review process. She has also been a part of the Leadership Initiative since 2016 and participates in many benefits the initiative has to offer.
