Kristin Olsen

Southern Tier

Originally from Utah, Kristin received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Family and Human Development with an emphasis on Child Development from Utah State University. Her experience spans public and private schools in various early childhood programs, as well as higher education teaching and mentoring in the early childhood field. Kristin has spent over 15 years in Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies as a trainer and coach. Supporting providers in the important work of quality interactions and the development of strong social/emotional skills with those they care for is her passion. Kristin has attained her NYAEYC Training and Technical Assistance Professional Credential (T-TAP) and is a graduate of the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) Training Institute.  She is also a Professional Development Specialist for the Council for Professional Recognition and has assisted many individuals in obtaining their CDA Credential. Before joining QUALITYstarsNY, Kristin worked as an Education Specialist and Infant/Toddler Specialist at the Child Care Council of Steuben and Schuyler, the Child Care Resource & Referral Agency in the Southern Tier area.
