Senior Director, QUALITYstarsNY
The Senior Director is responsible for leading QUALITYstarsNY and all efforts to develop, implement, manage, and promote the project as New York State’s Quality Rating & Improvement System for all types of regulated early childhood programs. This role involves coordinating and supporting cross-functional teams including quality improvement specialists and supervisors, data and rating system specialists, a communications and outreach team, and an administration team. The Senior Director is expected to act as a representative for QUALITYstarsNY throughout the state and nationally. This position is based in QUALITYstarsNY’s Central Office in New York City and reports to the Executive Director of the New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute, which coordinates QUALITYstarsNY.
Director of QUALITYstarsNY Systems and Administration
The Director of Systems and Administration plays a key role in the implementation of QUALITYstarsNY. This position works closely with all members of the QUALITYstarsNY team and colleagues at the Institute, to establish project priorities, develop plans and ensure goals are implemented effectively and in a timely manner. This position supports the Senior Director in monitoring and ensuring accountability of budgets and supports the data systems within QUALITYstarsNY. This position reports to the QUALITYstarsNY Senior Director and undertakes additional assignments at the discretion of the Senior Director and the Institute’s Executive Director. This position acts in the Senior Director’s absence to ensure continuity of programming. The Director of Systems and Administration supervises a management team of the Data Systems and Rating Manager and the Senior Project Associate(s).
Early Childhood Quality Improvement Specialist
The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist is responsible for providing key support in the implementation of QUALITYstarsNY. The QI Specialist is assigned a case load of participating programs to provide ongoing technical assistance and resources to as part of continuous quality improvement. The QI Specialist works in partnership with the leadership of participating programs to effectively use data to create and implement an individualized Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The QI Specialist supports programs to achieve the goals outlined in their QIP through a variety of strategies and holds programs accountable to meeting their goals. The QI Specialist is expected to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the program’s leadership and use a facilitative, consultation model to provide technical assistance and mentoring.
